In order to create healthy friendships, we need children to first look inward and treat themselves like a best friend. This is called Self-Compassion, which has been extensively researched by Dr Kristin Neff.

In our Friendology curriculum, we help kids strengthen self-compassion in our very first session called, Inner Ninja! They learn to name their emotions, calm their butterflies, and squash their ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts). This month, we’re helping kids be their own bestie!

Whether you’re a teacher or a parent, when you log in to your account, pop over to resources and click on the “Building Self-Worth” to filter activities related to self-compassion, self-care, and self-love.
