Webinar for School Chaplains

Virtual Event

Sorry this event has ended.

In partnership with Megan Harris (School’s Ministry Specialist) at SU Australia, School Chaplains are invited to learn how URSTRONG Schools support the social-emotional wellbeing of children through friendship skills.

Presented by Tyson Greenwood (Director), School Chaplains will hear his experience and insights as the Head of Wellbeing at one of the largest schools in Australia.

Tyson will share why friendship skills must be prioritised in schools and how he changed the culture at his school through URSTRONG’s Friendology 101 curriculum & whole-school friendship strategy. This session will introduce School Chaplains to the unique “langauge of friendship” used at URSTRONG Schools to support students in cultivating healthy, feel-good friendships, including:

  • The 4 Friendship Facts
  • The Friend-o-Meter
  • The Friend-o-Cycle
  • Friendship Fires vs Mean-on-Purpose

This is an interactive session where educators will be invited to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Tyson will also be at the annual Schools Ministry Conference on Thursday 7 July and will be available to answer any questions at that event.

NOTE: This session will take place at 4pm AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne).
