144 New Lessons. One Big Promise Kept.

March 2026: At URSTRONG, we’ve been listening…to teachers, to students, to families, and to the incredible educators in our URSTRONG Schools around the world. And we heard you.

Friendships are becoming more complex. Older students need deeper conversations and a more mature approach to navigating social challenges. Younger students need stronger emotional regulation skills.

And across the board, schools told us the same thing: They need practical, ready-to-teach friendship skills lessons that address the REAL issues showing up every day in classrooms and on playgrounds.

So we created them. Weekly friendship lessons, all year long, for every grade…teaching students how to create healthy, feel-good friendships and empowering them to handle those hot topics.

Introducing the New Friendology Scope & Sequence

We’re incredibly excited to share our brand new Friendology Scope & Sequence for Years 1 to 6, featuring 144 NEW friendship skills lessons designed specifically for primary schools.

Each lesson includes a ready-to-use student handout that aligns perfectly with our Friendology Student Handbooks, making it easy for teachers to bring these lessons to life in the classroom.

This represents a massive expansion of our Friendology friendship skills curriculum, giving schools a full library of weekly social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons focused on friendship skills.

AND, the best part? These lessons go far beyond generic friendship advice. Friendology is anchored in a comprehensive friendship framework, using kid-friendly language, memorable visual tools, and practical strategies that help students actually apply what they learn in their real friendships.

In fact, every lesson connects back to our core Friendology concepts and unique ‘language of friendship’, helping students build shared understanding around concepts like:

  • The 4 Friendship Facts
  • Friendship Fires
  • Mean-on-Purpose behaviour
  • The Friend-o-Meter
  • The Friend-o-Cycle (conflict resolution)
  • Inner-Ninja (self-compassion)
  • True Colours (emotional regulation)

These lessons help teachers guide students through the social challenges that are shaping childhood friendships today. And we’re beyond proud to say: Friendology is now the world’s largest collection of explicit friendship skills lessons for primary schools! Our URSTRONG Schools have access to a rich library of nearly 500 one-of-a-kind friendship skills lessons!

Tackling the Real Friendship Challenges Kids Face Today

One of the most important pieces of feedback we heard from schools was this: Teachers want resources that reflect what students are actually experiencing in their friendships right now.

That’s why our expanded library includes lessons that address nuanced social challenges such as:

  • Roasting and rude comments
  • Friendship break-ups and drifting apart
  • Popularity and group dynamics
  • Exclusion and relational aggression
  • Rumours, gossip, and talking behind backs

These are the conversations students are already having – or struggling to have – in classrooms, playgrounds, and online spaces. Our goal is to give educators the tools and language to guide these moments with easy, practical strategies.

Built With (and For) Our URSTRONG Schools

This expansion wouldn’t exist without the insight, honesty, and partnership of our URSTRONG Schools community.

Teachers continually share what they’re seeing, what students are navigating, and what support they need in the classroom. That feedback helps us evolve Friendology so it stays current, relevant, and meaningful for today’s students.

Dana, our Founder, made a promise to kids when she wrote, Friendology, a first-of-its-kind friendship skills curriculum, back in 2008: To stay on the pulse of their friendships. She promised that Friendology would never be stagnant or out-dated.

And, Dana & our team committed to that promise to grow alongside kids – while learning from the incredible educators who bring friendship skills to life every day in their schools.

To all of our URSTRONG Schools… Thank you for helping shape this work!
