Through our Friend-o-meter, we teach children the difference between healthy and unhealthy friendships. They learn what qualities are important to create and maintain those feel-good, green-zone friendships.
We also teach kids that we have different friends for different reasons. Friendship Fact #2: Every Friendship is Different reminds us that each one of our friendships is unique and special in its own way.
With these things in mind, this lesson helps kids dig even deeper… How can we be a good friend to someone who is having a bad day or feeling down in the dumps? What ‘acts of friendship’ can we show someone who is feeling sad? Let’s explore what it means to be an RDF – a Rainy Day Friend!
