Making new friends is a skill. Some people are naturally good at it, while others struggle to even get past that first hello. In Friendology, we teach the students step-by-step how to introduce themselves, how to have a conversation, then how to find something in common with someone – the beginning phase of a new friendship.
Working together and cooperating in a fun, creative way can be a quick way to build a connection. Sharing a laugh and being silly is a sneaky strategy to help children go from strangers to best mates!
In this lesson, students will create a handshake to fast-track the ‘getting to know you’ process.
